If you prefer to enjoy the area, landscape and nature during your winter vacation in Tyrol, we can highly recommend winter hiking and snowshoeing. Especially because Leutasch, with its well-prepared hiking routes and rustic huts in the beautiful winter landscape, is an Eldorado for winter and snowshoe hikes.

The ski resorts come to life, cross-country skiers criss-cross the forests and valleys on excellently groomed trails, nature lovers discover the idyllic landscape on snowshoe or winter hikes and enjoy speedy toboggan runs. Accommodation establishments such as the Adults Hotel Kristall in Tyrol with special winter sports offers ensure a winter holiday with memorable value.

Taking the mine train into the former Schwaz silver mine also takes you into a world that knows no seasons. It is a constant 12 degrees in the centuries-old tunnels, much milder than on a normal winter's day in Tyrol. An excursion to a place like the Schaubergwek is the ideal balance to winter sports activities such as skiing and cross-country skiing, which sometimes just make you tired or give you sore muscles.

The sporting winter highlight in Leutasch is the annual international Euroloppet Ganghoferlauf – the älteste Volkslanglauf Tirols, which is part of the European ski marathon race series „Euroloppet“ and „Austria Loppet“. For families on vacation, the Mini Ganghoferlauf is offered on a smaller scale for our young guests - a cross-country skiing event with a fun factor.
